Advanced Avocation

It is a class designed for experienced gymnasts looking to improve in a relaxed environment from ages 7-14.

Yes, this class follows a more advanced lesson plan than our beginner AVO classes. 

All of our ADV AVO classes are 2 hours long with the oppurtunity to attend more than one a week. 

Every child needs a water bottle and appropriate clothing.

We have a wide range of leotards available on site as well as hoodies, t-shirts, leggings and shorts. 

In this class your gymnast will begin with a dynamic warm up and stretch.

They will then complete more challenging lines to insure they are fully warmed up and ready for apparatus. 

After they have completed their lines they will follow lesson plans on all 4 apparatus including basic strength & conditioning working on learning new skills and improving old ones. 

We do not provide a viewing gallery or area for you to stay and watch your gymnast, however we do provide parent viewing weeks where you can book to watch your child in their class as well as recreational competitions that showcase your childs improvement. 

All of our AVO programs work towards completing our badge scheme. 

We complete an assessment for their badge three times a year in the spring, summer and winter. 

When they complete their level they receive a certificate of achievement and Peacock badge for £8.00 by cash only

Gymnasts in our ADV AVO program have the opportunity to be invited to a squad trial of £20.00 for our competitive squad on completion of all badge levels. 

Recreational competitions are a great way for your gymnast to show off their hard work they put into their weekly classes. 

Your gymnast will compete one floor/bench and vault/trampette. 

For our AVO gymnasts competing on these safer apparatuses helps diminish worries and makes the competiiton as stress free as possible leaving room for fun and excitement! 

Competitions are a great way for all children to develop self confidence, motivation and determination to do their best, prepare for real life situations, and can often boost their skill development. 

With the oppurtunity to progress through 10 different levels it showcases their improvement each competition and gives them goals to strive for alongside our badge program. 

With our AVO competitions being hosted at PGA it makes it a great place to explore this pathway in a homely environment with apparatus and coaches they trust.

At PGA we follow a strict Code of Conduct to keep everyone as safe as possible during classes to insure the maximum amount of fun for everyone. We expect all of our parents and gymnasts to follow our rules.
